Design Process at Coastal Design Associates
The design process starts with your client interview to establish your goals and objectives resulting in your detailed client program. This documented is the foundation instrument for all future parties to reference going forward in the development process. We feel that all parties involved in the process should have a clear understanding of the direction of the project and an articulated client program document keeps the project on track and saves time and money.
A Due Diligence Analysis is the next step for your project.
The next step in the success of your project begins with a through DUE DILLIGENCE investigation of your local zoning, state regulations, federal guidelines, state/local health department regulations and how they may impact your site. Existing physical characteristics such as your existing soils, slopes, regulated environmental areas, traffic patterning, storm water runoff patterns, significant vegetation and desirable/undesirable views to name just a few are documented and analyzed. All of the above assets and constraints will be evaluated, discussed with you the client and weighed in relationship to siting you're structure.
